Things to do
Make the most of your first few days on campus by completing the following tasks on this handy checklist:
Visit the Student Welcome and Support Hub
The Student Welcome and Support Hub is where you can get all the information and support you need to get started at the University of Stirling. The hub can be found in Campus Central: find your way on this campus map.
The Welcome and Support Hub will be open:
- Weekdays from Thursday 7 September: 10:00 until 16:00
- Saturday 9 September and Sunday 10 September: 10:00 until 16:00
- Saturday 23 September and Sunday 24 September: 10:00 until 16:00
You'll be able to get help with enrolment and receiving your student ID card, support on visas and immigration, ask queries about finance and get help with setting up your IT equipment. Student Support Services will be on hand to answer any other questions you have.
Complete your Stirling Essentials arrival activities
Completed the pre-arrival online module? Great. Now you have four more activities to do to give you the strongest possible start. These activities guide you through essential library skills, essential digital skills, bystander training and academic integrity.
It's really important you complete these activities by week 3 of semester. So why not save the stress, log in and complete them today?

Get involved with our welcome and orientation activities
Don't forget we have a full programme of on-campus and online events and activities to help you meet friends and settle into university life.
And the fun doesn't stop after Welcome week: our student life programme Be Connected continues throughout the semester with a wide range of enjoyable and informative activities.

Find out more about the role of your personal tutor
You’ll be allocated a personal tutor in the first week and their details will appear on your portal once you are fully enrolled. They will be in touch to arrange to meet you in the first two weeks of semester. Your tutor will be with you throughout your studies to offer advice and signpost help as required.
Register with our on-campus doctor and dentist
How to register for medical and dental services
To access medical care you should be registered with a local doctor and dentist in the area where you live. If you are living on campus the medical and dental centre on campus is open for new registrations.
Connect to Wi-Fi on campus
We know that getting connected to the Wi-Fi is one of the first things you will want to do. If you need help getting connected to Wi-Fi, then our Wi-Fi Wizards will be around to help you.
