Szafranek left speechless as karate scholar claims British title

The year of Winning Students success continued today as karate scholar, Jordan Szafranek, claimed his first ever British title.

Having continued his reign as Scottish champion earlier in the year, Edinburgh Napier University athlete Szafranek put in the performance of a lifetime as he banished the defeat the last time he made the British final.

The sports science student tweeted: “Words cannot describe the feeling of finally winning this title, something have I have strived to win since my first British Senior Final six years ago. After six rounds of grind today I can finally tick this title off.”
