22 July 2026Within days of graduating from Edinburgh Napier University, Winning Students 100 scholar Anna Morgan will dive into the biggest race of her life – making her Commonwealth Games debut for Team Scotland in Glasgow.
The University of Edinburgh swimmer is experiencing a summer she’ll never forget, celebrating academic success before competing on one of sport’s biggest stages.
Her success is the culmination of years of dedication in and out of the pool, balancing the demands of elite sport alongside university life with the support of Scotland’s national sports scholarship programme.
From early morning training sessions to lectures, assignments and international competition, Anna’s journey shows exactly what it means to be a dual-career athlete.
Now, with a degree in hand, she’ll be representing Team Scotland at the biggest competition of her career so far – competing in front of a home crowd at Glasgow 2026.
